Casual on Call Position - No Guaranteed Hours THIS POSITION IS AT THE L01 LEVEL WITH AN HOURLY PAY RANGE OF $28.69 - $36.30 (PSAC Bargaining Unit) Reporting to the Manager of First Nations Health Programs, the incumbent is responsible for assisting First Nations Health Programs in the areas of administrative duties, cleaning duties and cultural programs duties. Youth Interns will receive professional and personal development opportunities, while providing general support and assistance to various units across YHC. The incumbent's activities will have a primary objective of providing exposure to and training to areas of their interests in Units across YHC, while contributing to general support duties as assigned. Knowledge, skills and abilities required: * Indigenous Values; * Motivation to learn about and contribute to health care settings; * Motivation to pursue health careers; * Willingness to complete personal and professional development; * Willingness to take training and courses in computer literacy and medical terminology; * Ability to multitask; * Cross cultural awareness; * Ability to work in a team environment; * Basic customer service skills. The successful applicant will have a minimum of one (1) year general work experience and will obtain certificates as required. To be eligible for the Youth Program you must be between 16 and 35 years of age. Note: Preference will be given to applicants with First Nations ancestry.
