The role is responsible for all corporate food and beverage personnel, supporting the food and beverage brands at all locations and overseeing all current operations – including ensuring brand and quality standards are maintained, results are achieved/exceeded and that right people are in the right roles for the operations. This role will also be responsible for food and beverage related expansions for new and existing brands. Key Responsibilities Proactively drives revenue targets and profitability within food and beverage operations and works with senior management, direct reports and business partners to control operational costs, while ensuring effective and efficient deployment of resources in a challenging operating environment. Recommends, advocates, influences and drives standards and guidelines for adoption and implementation at all food and beverage sites for both front and back of house. Defines and implement key performance indicators and metrics, drives improvement initiatives and encourages a culture of excellence, efficiency, innovation, and customer service across all sites and venues. Oversees product offerings, quality and menu design, ensuring they are in line with the corporate food and beverage vision. Enhances revenue through menu development, pricing strategy and by working with Marketing to implement key promotions and marketing techniques. Oversees the organizational structure of food and beverage venues, enforcing the corporate vision while collaborating with the corporate Human Resources department and the senior managers at the sites. Provides guidance and leadership to direct and indirect food and beverage leaders by defining priorities, identifying improvement opportunities and fostering a commitment to the company’s values and vision to ensure a culture that promotes growth and development. Oversees the development and implementation of training and support systems for staff. Promotes a vision of best practices for both front and back of house operations. Partners with site food and beverage leadership teams to execute and ensure the consistent delivery of best-in-class food and beverage experiences in all venues. Oversees food and beverage recruitment, training and staff development to facilitate operational goals and enhance the strength and effectiveness of managers, leaders and staff. Provides leadership and coaching on escalated technical and incident related issues. Oversees all food and beverage expansions including new and existing brands. Oversees market, trend and demographic research and analysis for use in developing optimum operations. Stays informed about local, national and international best practices or trends in food service, interior design, technology and entertainment in food and beverage and implements or provides recommendations on best practices as appropriate. Produces new and innovative ideas/strategies that will maximize current food and beverage operations to their highest service and culinary potential, which will in turn drive increases in sales, revenue and efficiency. Responsible for ensuring strong interpersonal relationships and maintaining strong client relationships both internally across all sites and teams and externally with vendors, talent sources and professional organizations. Maintains a thorough and updated knowledge of company policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with regulators and company policies and procedures including safe food handling, liquor control and health and safety among others. Takes on additional responsibilities as required. What You Bring Degree in business, operations, food and beverage, hospitality management or related field, preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Senior management role specializing in food and beverage or hospitality. Minimum 10 years of Hospitality or similar management experience. Post secondary education in hospitality management or a related field preferred. Mature, professional demeanor, capable of expressing confident, independent judgement. Ability to develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationship with team members, internal and external stakeholders. Able to lead operational change. Proven leadership skills – able to direct and supervise staff and to promote teamwork. Keen understanding and knowledge of the restaurant industry, with an exceptional aptitude for restaurant operations. Strong financial and business acumen. Excellent written and verbal communication – including ability to write external submissions and policies. Excellent problem solving skills. Self-motivated, reliable, efficient and able to multi-task. Skilled in identifying, cultivating and developing talent. Ability to lead a team of professionals effectively toward the accomplishment of the organization and department goals. Working knowledge with word processing software, spreadsheets, email, Internet navigation, and presentation software. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects on short timetables and manage staff resources efficiently and successfully. Willing to work reasonable overtime as business needs require.
