Summary Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the Finance Manager is responsible for leading Green Infrastructure Partners' corporate accounting function and ensuring the integrity, consistency and compliance of accounting across the organization. You will lead a team of accounting professionals responsible for key corporate accounting activities, month-end closing, and balance sheet governance. Acting as a technical accounting resource to Operations Finance teams across the business, you will provide accounting guidance, establish standardized accounting practices and help resolve complex accounting issues. Working closely with Financial Reporting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Operations Finance, IT and external auditors, you will ensure that accounting records accurately reflect business activities and support timely and reliable financial reporting. You will also play a key role in acquisition integrations, finance transformation initiatives and the continued development of scalable accounting processes. Primary Scope Of Role Corporate Accounting & Month-End Governance Lead the corporate accounting function and oversee month-end close activities for the enterprise. Ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of balance sheet accounts through timely reconciliations, reviews and resolution of outstanding items. Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations and accounting schedules prepared by the team. Hands-on approach with ability to prepare detailed accounting schedules, including fixed asset continuity, lease accounting, and other balance sheet supporting reconciliations, to assist the team in meeting reporting and operational requirements as needed. Effectively mentor, and develop team members, fostering professional growth, enhancing performance, and building a collaborative, high-performing team culture. Accounting Advisory & Business Partnership Act as the primary accounting advisor to Operations Finance teams, providing guidance on non-routine accounting transactions. Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Payroll, Legal, Procurement and Operations to resolve accounting issues and improve accounting processes. Maintain compliance with IFRS, corporate accounting policies and internal control requirements. Process Improvement & Systems Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and standardize financial reporting processes. Drive improvements to month-end close efficiency, reporting quality and internal controls. Partner with IT and Finance Systems teams to enhance JD Edwards, Hubble, Workiva and related financial reporting tools. Position Requirements CPA designation (required). Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or Finance. 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, corporate accounting or public accounting. Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidated financial reporting. Previous experience leading or mentoring accounting professionals. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business demands, and consistently deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and time-sensitive commitments Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management and analytical skills. Experience in a merger and acquisition (M&A) environment is considered a strong asset. Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards is considered a strong asset. What We Offer Expected Base Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 per year. The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity and work location.
