About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer, BI & Reporting, to take ownership of and expand our reporting and analytics infrastructure that supports operational, revenue, customer, and executive decision-making processes. This role is a hybrid position combining aspects of analytics engineering and BI engineering, requiring a proactive individual capable of building scalable data models, maintaining dashboards, automating workflows, and supporting AI-driven reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation in SQL, dbt, and BI tools, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Your contributions will directly influence the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of our reporting systems, ensuring data-driven insights are accessible and trustworthy across the organization. Qualifications 3-6 years of experience in analytics engineering, BI engineering, reporting engineering, data analytics, data modeling, or related fields Advanced proficiency in SQL with strong hands-on experience using dbt Experience building SQL tables, data marts, semantic layers, and transformation pipelines Proficiency with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Metabase, Sigma, Hex, Mode, or similar Experience maintaining dashboards and recurring reports in production environments Knowledge of data QA, monitoring, and automation of reporting workflows Strong documentation skills and a QA-focused mindset Ability to independently own and manage reporting infrastructure and workflows Responsibilities Build and maintain scalable SQL/dbt data models, marts, semantic layers, and reporting datasets to support business intelligence needs Clean, structure, and document complex or messy data systems to ensure data quality and accessibility Develop and establish trusted reporting foundations for various business teams, ensuring consistency and accuracy Design maintainable transformations and reusable analytics layers to facilitate scalable reporting Own production dashboards, recurring reports, KPI dashboards, and reporting workflows, ensuring their accuracy and reliability Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, business logic, and reporting requirements, translating them into technical solutions Support self-serve analytics capabilities to empower teams across the organization Build and manage automated reporting workflows, monitoring systems, and alerting mechanisms to ensure data freshness and quality Support AI-supported reporting operations, including QA agents, KPI generation, and dashboard monitoring Implement data quality assurance, validation, and governance processes to maintain high standards of reporting integrity Troubleshoot reporting discrepancies and proactively resolve data issues to maintain trust in reporting systems Benefits Competitive salary package complemented by performance bonuses Comprehensive health benefits to support your well-being Fully remote work environment, offering flexibility and work-life balance Opportunities for professional growth within a fast-scaling fintech organization Collaborative and innovative work culture that values your contributions Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and AI-driven reporting solutions Equal Opportunity Veem is an equal opportunity employer.
