Mino Obigiwasin Services Enfance & Famille Anicinape a été mise sur pied pour offrir des services à l’enfance et à la famille auprès de sa population. Cela fait suite à une entente signée avec le CISSSAT pour la gestion de la protection de la jeunesse pour les 4 communautés Anicinape : Kitcisakik, Lac Simon, Abitibiwinni (Pikogan) et Long Point (Winneway). La vision de Mino Obigiwasin est d’assurer à tous les enfants et aux familles Anicinape un milieu de vie stable, sécuritaire, heureux et enraciné dans la culture.

Manage the clinical, administrative, and operational activities of the child protection service at the assigned location, ensuring service quality, legal compliance, and appropriate case follow-up. Supervise and support staff, allocate cases and workloads, address risks and performance issues, promote culturally respectful practice, and report service outcomes and needs to leadership.

Follow up with children and families under child protection measures, develop and review intervention plans, and coordinate support with extended families, community resources, and interdisciplinary partners. Ensure protective measures are followed, make recommendations to the Director of Youth Protection, take necessary protective action, and represent the case in youth court when required.

Provide daily clinical guidance and field support to assessment-orientation and VCT practitioners, especially in complex, urgent, crisis, or placement situations. Support service quality and clinical standards, review documentation, assist with court preparation and partner meetings, and contribute to staff development and continuous improvement.

Assess and analyze the needs and behaviors of children and adolescents with severe behavioral challenges, then plan, deliver, and monitor specialized educational interventions and individualized plans. Support families and care settings, respond to crises, coordinate with child protection and community partners, document progress, and contribute to improving services and practices.
