Mino Obigiwasin Services Enfance & Famille Anicinape a été mise sur pied pour offrir des services à l’enfance et à la famille auprès de sa population. Cela fait suite à une entente signée avec le CISSSAT pour la gestion de la protection de la jeunesse pour les 4 communautés Anicinape : Kitcisakik, Lac Simon, Abitibiwinni (Pikogan) et Long Point (Winneway). La vision de Mino Obigiwasin est d’assurer à tous les enfants et aux familles Anicinape un milieu de vie stable, sécuritaire, heureux et enraciné dans la culture.

Provide culturally adapted support and daily accompaniment to Anicinape children and families to promote stability and healing. Act as a trusted link between clients and available resources while intervening in crisis situations and facilitating the integration of traditional practices.

The Anicinape Worker provides culturally secure services to children and families to resolve security and development compromises. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate supervised visits and educate colleagues on Anicinape culture and community functioning.

The Anicinabe Worker supports social workers in evaluating the safety and development of children within the community. They ensure services are delivered using Anicinabe communication methods and provide cultural guidance to internal and external agents.

Provide daily clinical support and field accompaniment to team members working with Anicinape children and families. Participate in the evaluation of needs, development of professional practice standards, and coordination of placement committees.
